Fix the iMessage Bug So You Can Still Get Messages If You Switch to Android from iPhone [Imessage]

If you switched from the iPhone to an Android phone, you may have noticed a bug where people who previously were sending you iMessages can't anymore. There's a quick solution to this bug, however, so you can un-trap your messages.

TechCrunch reports that bug is apparently is due to the iMessage system not deactivating the service after you switch your phone number to the other device. Apple user Alphonsusjude, however, found the fix seems to work:
